1 COL THERMAL PRINTING
1 Colour Thermal Printing is a HIGH QUALITY print directly onto the CD or DVD. This is ideal for fast turnaround jobs where the timing is URGENT. This printing is ideal for straight forward and simple designs including logo's and text only.

The high quality print of the thermal printer should not be confused with an inkjet. The thermal prints DO NOT smudge and they are colour fast when exposed to moisture unlike the water-based Inkjet prints.

Templates are available in our Downloads section of the web site. Customers can design their own layouts to their own requirements and then send to us for printing or just send the details through to our inhouse design department and they will generate it for you at a competitive price.

FULL COL THERMAL PRINTING
Full Colour Thermal Printing is a HIGH QUALITY print directly onto the CD or DVD. This is ideal for fast to moderate turnaround jobs where timing and quality is critical. This printing is ideal for full colour, full coverage designs with no minimum quantity.

The added benefit of thermal printing is it is DTP (Direct to Print), no film is required and advanced proofs are available at much cheaper rates then Offset or Screen Printed production proofs. Sometimes necessary as it will not match to Pantone colours.

SCREEN PRINTING
Screen Printing is the most common and economical method for printing directly onto the CD or DVD. This is ideal for fast to moderate turnaround jobs where price is crutial. This process is ideal for Pantone colour jobs where only several colours will be used. Not ideal for full colour, full coverage designs as the screen resolution is only 120 lpi (lines per inch) and CMYK designs are likely to have a cross-hatching pattern to them. Minimum quantity is 250, and incurs a once off film/setup cost per title regardless of quantity.

Advanced production proofs are available at cost however this does slow down production considerably. Production proofs are sometimes necessary as it will not match Pantone colours exactly as per PMS books. This is a common problem with printing to disc due in part to the inks responding slightly differently on plastic as they do on paper.

OFFSET PRINTING
Offset Printing is the most desirable print process directly onto CDs or DVDs. This is ideal for moderate to high turnaround jobs where quality is essential. This printing is ideal for full colour designs as the screen resolution of 200 lpi (lines per inch) and CMYK process look their best with this method. Minimum quantity is 500, also incurs an initial once off film/setup cost per title.

Advanced production proofs are available at cost and will drastically slow the job down. Sometimes necessary as it will not match Pantone colours perfectly from original artwork.
