Product Details Extended Information

Polyurethane Screw Down Tactile mats 300x300mm, Advanced Group recommends installing with a combination of either Sikaflex 221 or 2 part epoxy adhesive especially if in outdoor sunlit conditions where the mats can be highly susceptible to thermal expansion!

Additional can be purchased separately if required.

Optional mechanical fixings are not required however they are offered as an optional extra in case you are concerned about the corners potentially lifting and creating a trip hazard however if you have used the adhesive correctly then mechanical fixings are rarely ever required.

Available in a range of Colours

Advanced Group's Tactiles are available in a range of colours to meet the 30% luminance contrast requirements of the Australian Standard AS/NZS 1428 part 4 Tactile Ground Surface Indicators in both Hazard and Directional profiles.

Flexible, Easy to Scribe and Install

Advanced Group's Tactiles are manufactured from premium polymeric materials and will contour to any substrate. They are easily shaped with a knife and are dimensionally stable so they won't move once bonded to concrete, bitumen, timber, pavers and most other substrates.

Retro-fit in 300mm x 300mm Format

Advanced Group's Tactiles are available in 300x300mm format, so installation is easily completed by applying some Sikaflex polyurethane to the underside then positioning & then use tap in anchors to secure in place!

Improved Bonding Technique

Advanced Group also understand that you are managing public infrastructure which simply can not be shutdown for prolonged periods of time. So, we endeavour to install from start to finish within 1 hour using our unique process.

UV Stable and Will Retain Colour Over Time

With over 20 years combined experience in the Safety Industry, Advanced Group's tactile manufacturer has developed a unique blend of polymers which provide optimum UV stability and wear resistance without compromising on other physical properties. This unique blend also ensures
Advanced Group's tactiles will not exhibit the unsightly effects of weathering or “blooming” of plasticizers and processing aids. Advanced Group's tactiles will remain vibrant for the life of the Product.

Australian Standards

Advanced Group's tactiles meet Australian Standard AS/NZS 1428 part 4 Tactile Ground Surface Indicators and are guaranteed to conform to all of the dimensional requirements in order to provide safe and effective tactile cues for the vision impaired. Available in 300 mm x 300 mm retro-fit format, making installation easy.

Aiding the vision impaired.

An estimated 380,000 people in Australia currently suffer from blindness and are legally vision impaired. These statistics will double as a result of the aging population. Incorporating aides for the Vision Impaired in all indoor and outdoor construction is not only good practice, but has become mandatory in all Australian Building Codes and Public Access Disability Standards.

Tactile ground surface indicators are strategically laid to adequately guide pedestrians whilst traversing road-crossings, hazard zones and public buildings. Advanced Group's tactiles consist of two main uniform profiles:

  1. The Hazard profile - consisting of raised roundells - will define a hazard zone.
These can also be configured with another Safety Direction Indicator Tile.

  2. The Direction Indicator Tile profile - consisting of a series of barbell-shaped lugs – are strategically laid to indicate the direction of travel.

Ground Surface Indicators are available in tile form and as Individual free form components (STUDS).

  • Retro fit poly tactile indicators.
  • Poly tactile studs.
  • Steel range of architectural stainless steel tactile studs.
  • Pro stair nosing and tapes

CSIRO Tested
Tactile Tiles have a slip rating of R11 which is well beyond the Australia Standards code for both indoor and outdoor use

Colours Available
Tactiles are available in a range of standard and most widely used colours. Customers may also have their own colour range made up (minimum quantities apply) to ensure that the tiles enhance almost any design, style and colour scheme. Please Contact Us if you have any specialty colour requirements

Guaranteed Wear Resistance
The polyurethane Tactile has a unique non slip surface forged into the tile domes. This surface was thoroughly tested by the CSIRO and proven to exhibit ‘wear resistance’ equivalent to that of ‘granite’ and ‘glazed’ ceramic tiles. Tactiles are produced as squares, making them modular and able to be combined in endless configurations

SHAPES & SIZES

Tactiles are produced as squares, making them modular and able to be combined in endless configurations. The default sizes are:

* 300mm x 300mm

The unique formulation of these tiles makes them easy to cut accurately into the shapes required by unusual ground layouts and features.
