This length Socket is for high density urban areas where there is a possibility of damaging underground services. For rural areas use the 600mm Socket.
Drive spike into Soft dirt using a driver and sledge hammer or jack hammer.
Use a spirit level when you are installing the Socket to ensure that
the Socket is level as you are driving it into the dirt. Once the
spike has been driven deep enough into the dirt then insert your post
into the Socket and lock into place using a wedge. Sometimes the post
might not stand up perfectly straight so it might be a good idea to pour some concrete around the socket once installed to ensure that your pole stays plumb (straight) for the lifetime of the install. Watch the video to see a demonstration of how to install the socket for permanent installations.
