Australian Standard Street Name Signs are positioned at intersections to identify street names. Australian Standard codes start with G5-. Standards Australia specifies black on class 1 white as the preferred standard, but many councils choose non-standard specifications. Sign blades are 500-1200 mm long - length to suit name. How to Order

Posts & brackets can be added with your sign order or separately.

Street Name Signs are positioned at intersections to identify street names. Australian Standard Codes for Parking Signs begin with "G5". The Standard classifies them as a sub-class of Guide Signs, but we list Street Signs separately as experience has shown that our customers prefer it this way.

Reflectivity AS/NZS 1742.5:1997 states that they should be at least class 1 retroreflective. Class 2 retroreflective and non-reflective are offered as some customers prefer these non-standard signs.

Colour The standard recommends black on white. It also permits some other colour combinations, being: blue, green, brown or black text on white or yellow backgrounds, or white text on blue or green backgrounds. Red backgrounds are reserved for signs relating to potentially hazardous situations.
