Drivable Post Socket for Earth 600mm

For temporary installations ONLY! Do not use these sockets if the post will be a permanent installation! The post will eventually lean over & will look odd if it is not at 90 degrees level to the ground!

This length socket is for rural areas where it is unlikely that you would damage underground services. For high density urban areas use the 400mm socket.

Drive spike into Soft dirt using a driver and sledge hammer or jack hammer. Use a spirit level when you are installing the socket to ensure that the socket is level as you are driving it into the dirt. Once the spike has been driven deep enough into the dirt then insert your post into the socket and lock into place using a wedge. Sometimes the post might not stand up perfectly straight so it might be a good idea to carry a second wedge with you to use if needed to be able to force the post into a more level position.
