This Flexible Delineator Post System has been developed from High Strength Engineering Polymer - HSEP. Out of the Engineering Polymers available this Product offers high flexibility and strength. Flexible Strength, capable of withstanding multiple vehicle impacts far exceeding existing standards and capabilities of any other type of guide post. Manufactured in the required colour, no need for priming or powder coating unlike flexible steel guide posts. Recycling - HSEP can be easily recycled or disposed of in an environmentally compatible manner. Fire resistance - HSEP is noted for its high heat resistance. At low loading levels the parts do not undergo any essential deformation for temperatures up to 135 degrees C. HSEP 3103 has good flame retardant properties, and is rated UL-V2, the same rating as used in 3 pin house hold electrical plugs. HSEP remains tough and elastic down to temperatures of -150 C (good for snow and ice environment), e.g. Bayer Material Sciences has been involved in pole applications in Antarctica using HSEP 3103.
